Typetester

The Typetester is an online application for comparison of the fonts for the screen. Its’ primary role is to make web designer’s life easier. As the new fonts are bundled into operating systems, the list of the common fonts will be updated.

Typetester is a nifty little app. It allows you to play around with fonts giving you an idea of how it will look on your webpage.

They currently have a good range of fonts and allow you to change the size, the leading, the tracking, the word space, any decoration and color.

And more importantly, they offer you a three-panel comparison - so you can play with three styles at the same time and compare what’s best for you.

This is one of the smartest (and productive) tools I’ve come across for the web developer looking at getting that font just right. This one’s going straight int my bookmarks for future use.

This will certainly help when I start designing my first real web site, one that looks like the real deal, thanks.
