meebo

meebo, the web messenger that lets you access IM from absolutely anywhere. meebo supports msn, yahoo, aol/aim, google talk (gtalk), jabber and icq.
Instant Messaging has been a round for a quite a while now - there are hundreds of millions users the world over that IM every day - both for personal and increasingly for business purposes.
The problem with IM is that there are quite a few options to choose from: you have IM clients coming from MSN, Yahoo, AOL, Google, Jabber and ICQ to name a few.
Well that’s where meebo comes in. With meedbo, it doesn’t matter what your other end is using - from the meebo website you can chat away, regardless if your IM client doesn’t match their IM client.
I especially love meebo because you can place a little code in your blog and readers can chat with you directly from your blog or website without leaving it - a great “sticky” feature.
Another big plus for me, is that meebo works with NetVibes (my home page of choice) - off the topic, I must say that NetVibes has come along leaps-and-bounds with what they offer.
If you’re a serious IM addict but can’t get all your friends or colleagues onto the one system then meebo is the way to go. I’m not a heavy IM user but as I get more involved in online business this year I expect to be utilizing IM more often - and I think meebo will have it’s own permanent tab open in my Firefox browser.

Some of my relatives and friends use so many different instant messengers, it’s the only way I can stay in contact with all of them without having all the individual IMs open at the same time, hogging up all my resources.
