Dictionary.com is a multi-source dictionary search service … To use the dictionary, simply type a word in the blue search box that appears at the top of every page and then click the ‘Search’ button. This will perform a search for the word in the several dictionaries hosted on our site. If you don’t know how to spell the word, just guess. You will get a list of suggestions if you are wrong.
I simply love Dictionary.com and have been using it for years. The site comes with many references but the two I use almost daily is the Dictionary and the Thesaurus - although the most recent Firefox release now comes with an instant spell-checker.
The thesaurus is a great tool for coming up with new ways of saying what you want to say - especially when you’re having a slow day. ;- )

This page lists over 500 colours by colour name, Hex value, RGB value and Microsoft Access code number. You cannot specify these colours in HTML and CSS by their colour name but you can use their RGB hexadecimal value
A valuable online page for any person designing their website or any other graphics. It comes to you in a simple one page layout highlighting the color’s name, a sample of the color, it’s hex and RGB numbers. It’s a great was to choose the right color for your project.

IPtools offers up a variety of online tools for those needing to do basic checkups on domains and other related technical things - be they on yourself, your competition or a potential client.
They offer quick and easy to use tools such as: DNS Lookup, Domain Info, Ping, IP to Country, Spam Database Lookup, Whois LookupIP, Reverse DNS Lookup, Resolve Host and Traceroute amongst other offerings.
I find it useful to do basic checkups when my webhost is down, as well as checking up on some sites that I’m interested in purchasing or that have come across my way in one way or another - both good or bad.
I think it’s a good bunch of tools to have in your bag of resources.

Is it me or do we just not spend enough time rummaging through the Microsoft website? I personally thought this was a good find because I absolutely hate creating documents from scratch if I don’t have to … Courtesy of Microsoft, these category headings basically contain a total of 250 free MS Office Templates that you can use at will.
Most small business owners use Microsoft Word and Excel in their businesses, so when Microsoft offer something for free you tend to take a look at it. And with these 250 Office templates and documents (which are all free) they have down a stellar of a job - with a quite amazing range of very professional templates and documents..
There’s a great variety on offer via various categories - my standouts being the press releases (8 of them) and survey (36 of them) sections.
